Bank of India Employees' Union (BOIEU), Chhattisgarh was formed on 14th November, 2000 as a separate unit from the undivided MPBOIEA unit of Madhya Pradesh subsequent to formation of Chhattisgarh State in 2000. Com Ranjan Banerjee and Com Shambhu Chowdhary were the founder General Secretary and President of the unit. The First Triennial Conference of Chhattisgarh unit was at Raipur in the presence of Com Shrikant Bohra, General Secretary of BOIEA, MP Unit; Com CM Kapoor, President of BOIEA, MP Unit; Com DK Chatterjee, General Secretary of MPBEA and Com Prannath Sharma, Chairman of MPBEA. Their guidance and support laid a strong foundation for the newly formed organization. Since its inception, the union has remained committed to safeguarding the rights and interests of employees, strengthening unity among members, and actively participating in organizational as well as social initiatives. Over the years, BOIEU Chhattisgarh has expanded its reach across branches throughout the state and has played a vital role in addressing employee grievances, negotiating for better service conditions, and contributing positively to the development of the banking sector. 9th Triennial Conference held on 9th March, 2025 was a significant milestone as Com Harshwardhan Singh Bist was re-elected as Gen Secy with a team of young and dynamic new generation leaders. BOIEU, Chhattisgarh has displayed its dedication, unity, vibrancy and support in the path of trade union and the unit is proudly carrying forward the rich legacy of solidarity, democratic values, and employee welfare.
