Bank of India Employees' Union, Jharkhand was formed on 09.02.2002 as a separate body representing members from Jharkhand State. Prior to its formation members were affiliated to the combined BOIEU, Bihar State. Formal birth of BOIEU, Jharkhand took place in the joint conference of BOIEU, Bihar State & BOIEU, Jharkhand held on 26th & 28th October, 2002 in the presence of Com Sushil Ghosh (Then President, FOBOISU), Com JS Bailur (Then Gen Secy, FOBOISU) and other leaders. Com GC Sinha and Com Dinesh Jha Lallan were elected as President and General Secretary of BOIEU, Jharkhand in the First Conference. Bank of India Employees' Union, Jharkhand is having 90% of the membership with it under AIBEA and taking care of members of branches under Six Zonal Offices, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Raipur and Ranchi. The unit is contributing to Federation of Bank of India Staff Unions very enthusiastically under the leadership of Com Dinesh Jha Lallan. An uncompromised, firm and right stand for the worker' s right as well as the health of the bank are the core paradigm of the unit.
