Com KJ Joseph joined Bank of India in the year 1948. He has worked with commitment and dedication for the betterment of the bank workers. He had been closely associated with Com Shirali who played vital role in forming Federation of Bank Of India Staff Unions with Com GN Trikannand. Com KJ Joseph had also closely associated with Com Prabhat Kar and Com HL Parwana. Comrade K.J. Joseph, a legendary stalwart of the All India Bank Employees' Association (AIBEA), was affectionately and profoundly called "Uncle Joe" by bank employees across the nation. Throughout his life, "Uncle Joe" became a revered, "rare diamond" figure in the Indian bank employees' movement. His legacy within the All India Bank Employees' Association is defined by a 70-plus year journey of organizing, protecting, and elevating the working conditions of common banking staff. Because of his vast knowledge, decades of dedicated service, and comforting but inspiring mentorship to younger unionists, he was deeply cherished and known to everyone as Uncle Joe. In various union publications, he is famously referred to as a "rare diamond of the bank employees movement," famous for ending his motivating speeches with memorable, thought-provoking quotes. Com KJ Joseph along with Com Prabhat Kar played major role during the period of transmission from Awards to Bipartite Settlement. Com KJ Joseph has always insisted for continued unity, strengthening of bargaining tools, and readiness to paralyze the industry if necessary, emphasizing that such action is a promise, not a threat. He advocated for strategic patience, unity, and timing, urging members to stay prepared, keep morale high, and act at the right moment to achieve victory.
